Till we get to a point where AI is buying from AI, “things” from “things”, there’s a role for humans to be involved in Sales.
AI can and should automate certain tasks for salespeople. Account research, hyper personalization at scale, write decent emails as the first draft, write decent blog and LI post content for human review and so on.
What it cannot do, is have true empathy and thus cannot build a human connection. These trust-based human connections create & accelerate deals through referrals and job switches.
People buy from people. Till AI is empowered by organizations to 𝐛𝐮𝐲 from people & other AI, that fact will remain and there’ll remain a role for humans in sales.
